Pooja Mundada and I came in touch when I lived and worked in Zürich, Switzerland. At the time I am writing this I still live there. In my life there was a gap of community communication in the local language. Pooja made it possible to climb up in that communication gap. I have a very complex job position at a leading Swiss bank. Pooja understood my personal situation and took efforts to tailor my learning. 

She is packed with knowledge and professionalism. It meant I could be late, I could not finish my homework but she was rigorously leading me continuously. She exhibited extremely sophisticated (apt for teaching an adult with complexity) teaching methods which helped me. There were breaks when I needed them. 

Her teaching methods include:
1. Solving complex comprehension problems into simpler building blocks
2. Tailoring language examples to real life situations 
3. Managing my goals for me. It meant on a higher level, making it a pleasure to achieve goals with adequate expectations and encouragement
4. Creating a step by step system where you can achieve definitive growthAs a result I speak the language now. I have Whatsapp chats where I exclusively use the language. For me Germany and Austria are one notch closer personally.

I started learning German with Pooja after my wife got selected for a PhD in Austria. I needed to learn the language not only for my visa but also to live in a German speaking country. Pooja was a wonderful teacher. She gave fantastic explanations, grammar hacks and was strict when she needed to be. I was also working full time then and it helped a lot to schedule sessions, whether in person or online as per our mutual convenience. With her help, I was able to clear the Göethe A1 exam with 80% marks. I am also able to communicate well in the real world. Had the privilege of taking German classes with Pooja during my crucial 10th grade year in Pune, India. We (my wife and I) were introduced to Pooja by a friend who was already taking German classes with Pooja when we moved to Germany and were looking for a German tutor. From the beginning, Pooja helped us set realistic goals, and this prepared us mentally in terms of time and efforts that we were expected to put from our side. Pooja recommended the right reference material and was very flexible in terms of class timings. Pooja pushed us to rigorously complete all the exercises and tests after every unit. Once we finished with A1, I wanted to get my B1 certification done on a fast track basis. Pooja was able to successfully tailor the classes in such a way that we will be able to cover all the topics and grammar but on a faster track. I am very thankful to Pooja for helping me pass the Telc B1 certification successfully in my first attempt itself.

I got introduced to Pooja through a colleague around 3 years back and discussed my requirement of practising German to improve my conversation skills. I was quite keen on having a conversation class 4-5 times a week and Pooja heard me very patiently. I think she understood that I had ambitious plans but at the same time I had a lot of time constraints due to my job and travel. She understood my goal and came back with options which would suit my schedule. We started with two 1-on-1 sessions per week and she quickly evaluated my current level and subtly worked on my self confidence. I had already cleared my B1 exam but I was not using German in daily life mainly due to lack of self confidence. She slowly worked on creating a customised program for me with the help of Text Book and Self paced learning. I was probably one of the first students who wanted to focus more on professional conversation than just on passing the next level of exam and so she did her research and even suggested a specific German learning textbook for professional level German. She would ask questions about my profession and job content and prepared herself with the right vocabulary and expressions to have a good conversation with me to help me reach my goal.

Since then the program has evolved and I have been having regular classes for over 3 years and I have to say that my German has improved a lot. She is very flexible and often finds time over weekends or adjusts the schedule in case I have to cancel my regular classes. We have conversations about , culture, sports, hobbies, politics, friends, family, celebrations  and many other topics and parallelly we also focus on the textbook to ensure that we can track the learning progress. Earlier I used to be a bit nervous before the class but now I look forward to my classes and with each class my German is getting better.

I have given Pooja’s reference to a number of my colleagues so far and all have been very happy and content.

You will be surprised that although Pooja has not spent a lot of time in Germany or Switzerland, her grasp of the language, her accent is no less than a native speaker.

In between my wife, who is an entrepreneur, also took classes from Pooja with the objective to pass her B1 and Pooja helped her in a short span of time to reach her goal. Even my daughter who goes to a local school and studies in German, occasionally takes classes from Pooja to clarify her doubts about the grammar, rules, etc. and has tremendously benefitted from her.

Learning German with Pooja has been a great experience . She is an exceptional teacher. Her teaching methods are clear and effective. She is passionate about teaching German and with her experience, she is able to understand the aptitude of student and accordingly adapts with her teaching skills. My wife and I took online lessons to prepare for our B1 levels, Swiss passport interview and exam. She was very patient and understanding as me and my wife were not on the same levels . I wanted to take the A1 German exam for visa purposes. I contacted Pooja regarding it. She encouraged me to take the B1 level German exam and gave me confidence that she will help me prepare for it. It also takes some serious effort to find the right approach for every learner. While conducting language courses at Volkswagen India, Pooja demonstrated both. I have seen Pooja grow and excel as an enthusiastic language student and also a student of psychology honours.
